Senior Elders Statement of Authority - Blencoe Falls 2024

This statement was crafted by the Senior Elders gathered at Blencoe Falls in September 2024, following an on-Country meeting. It was an important outcome, which ensured Process Unite had the Cultural Authority to continue its work to bring the nine Traditional Owner groups together to seek a self-determined future.

We, with the wiggi jaddan are here at the buya ground.

We begin our restorative journey together, following the footsteps of our Ancestors.

Walking tall in Spirit, Lore, Custom,

Culture and Respect.

Hand in hand with our children,

for our children’s children.

We are one powerful voice. Together.

The first sentence of the Senior Elders' statement includes language terms purposely chosen by Senior Elders at the Forum to represent the cultural significance of Girringun Senior Elders gathering together from different language groups.
